Quadrivium Academy is built on a foundation of holistic education. We are dedicated to education of the "whole person"—intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and physical. We believe that true learning goes beyond mere acquisition of knowledge; it is a transformative experience that integrates reason, virtue, and well-being.

1. Our Foundational Ethos

Our vision of the person and our dedication to holistic educations are historically and philosophically rooted in the Christian ethos. Specifically, the Academy’s ethos is inspired by two foundational principles:

1. Love of Truth: We view the pursuit of truth not just as an academic exercise, but as a spiritual and intellectual duty.

2. Love of Neighbour: We believe in the unconditional dignity of every human being.

How this applies to people joining Quadrivium Academy?

While these values serve as the compass for how the Academy operates and serves its community, we welcome members of all faiths, backgrounds, and worldviews. You are not required to share our specific beliefs. We simply ask that you respect that our values are the soil from which our institution grows, and that you honor the dignity of all the community members within this shared space.

At Quadrivium Academy, how we speak and interact with each other is as important as what we study. We encourage Culture of Dialogue that allows for deep learning while maintaining safety and respect.

Our Standards for Engagement:

1. Respectful Openness: We strive to listen actively and with respect. We consider different perspectives without prejudice, ensuring every participant had a chance to be heard.

2. Ideas over Personal Attacks: We encourage reasoned argumentation and healthy debate, but we do not tolerate hostility or ad hominem attacks.

3. Emotional Awareness: We acknowledge that emotions influence communication. We strive to be self-aware and empathetic, creating a safe space for each other where mutual vulnerabilities are met with understanding, not judgment.

4. Constructive Collaboration: We are here to learn together. Our goal is collective insight, which requires patience, kindness in conflict resolution, and a willingness to learn from others.

By becoming a member of Quadrivium Academy, participating in our events, or hosting events or projects, you affirm your agreement to abide by these principles.
